The Intuit Data Services team
can often recover data in files that are damaged. However, it is often
necessary to wait several days without QuickBooks for the team to
recover the file. Auto Data Recovery was introduced in
QuickBooks 2012 (and later) and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 13.0 R4 (and later), and may
provide you with all or nearly all of your data right now. This
solution should be used after all appropriate troubleshooting resources
have been used.
Detailed instructions
Auto Data Recovery may help recover your data in one of two ways:
- Recreate lost transactions using your current Transaction Log file and a copy of your Company file.
- Recreate all but the last few hours of transactions with a copy of both your Company file and your Transaction Log file.
Follow the solutions in the order shown.
Note:
The Auto Data Recovery is only available in QuickBooks Pro, Premier,
and Enterprise Solutions for Windows at this time. The ADR file has a
size limitation of 1.5Gbytes. If your backup file size is larger than
1.5Gbytes, an ADR file will not be created.
